If you are really on top of your Hip Hop History and Analogy game, then you would know all the underline subliminal messages by BBoys and the Movie "The Warriors. A Movie about New York City Gangs of the 70's that depicts a Peace Treaty in the Bronx, by a leader who wishes to unite all the gangs of NYC to take over the City. The Leader Sirus was assassinated by another gang and then blamed it on the Warriors from Brooklyn. The remainder of the Movie is about how the Warriors need to get out of the Bronx and make it back to coney Island in Brooklyn. Through out the movie the warriors encounter and fight gangs from all over the Bronx including a Gang decked out in Baseball uniforms in the train station, and an all girl gang. This movie depicts the gang problems of NYC in the 70's, it is a bit exaggerated, and according to many Outlaws of the past, there were so many gangs in NYC throughout the 70's that the Warriors would never have made it back to Brooklyn. It is also said that the movie was loosely based on original Gang leader Black Benjy of the famous Ghetto Brothers who was killed trying to unite the gangs of NYC but for reasons of Peace.

You will notice the over use of the movies logo and symbols in Hip Hop and Street Style Dance. Many have taken the logo and flipped it into some design promoting events and crews all over the world.

Bua Paints Hip Hop

Justin Bua is probably the most well known Urban Artist on the planet. I am sure either you, or someone you know has a Bua poster on his or her wall right now. He grew up on the same streets as many original Hip Hop Icons like Frosty Freeze (RIP) and Ken Swift. And has lived the life of a New York Street Style Dancer and Artist. His paintings sell all over the world, and his client list is a who's who of the Music, Athletic and Political world. For this brother to honor me in such a way has touched me deep, because I never really look at myself as an achiever, but more as a person who is still striving to achieve.
