Cabell "Cab" Calloway III Born December 25, 1907 – Died November 18, 1994. A Great jazz singer Dancer, Performer and bandleader. Down with the Cotton Club scene in Harlem, New York, where he tour down the house on the regular.

His trademark Scat style of singing influenced Flow in Hip Hop. But it was his Smooth Dance moves that made it's way through out the street style world. You can still see young street style dancers using his style in there freestyle.

Songs like Minnie the Moocher was something we would run to the TV the minute we hear the opening scat! As kids these were priceless moments no different than waiting for Soul Train to come on.

For this brother to honor me in such a way has touched me deep, because I never really look at myself as an achiever, but more as a person who is still striving to achieve.
